Dolomite tours – highlight for motorciclists!
South Tyrol is considered a biker’s paradise! The Hotel Goldenes Kreuz is ideally situated for a tour of the Dolomites, whether by car or bus, but this day tour for motorcyclists is a very special experience.
Route 1:
For the Great Tour of the Dolomites (approx. 250 km) you start from our house (560 m) to Klausen and further on to the Gardena Valley via Sellajaoch (2,187 m) and Pordoijoch (2,248 m), where you can enjoy fantastic views of the impressive mountain world. Via the Falzarego Pass (2,105 m) the route continues to Cortina d’Ampezzo and past Lake Misurina with a view of the Three Peaks to Toblach in the Puster Valley. From Toblach you drive to Bruneck and back to Brixen in the Eisack Valley. You are welcome to park your motorbike in our garage at the Hotel Goldenes Kreuz free of charge.
Route 2:
If you prefer a shorter tour, you can ride from our hotel in the direction of Plose to St. Andrä and Afers through a wonderful landscape to the Würzjoch, at the foot of the Peitlerkofel. The route continues down to St. Martin im Gadertal and back to Brixen via the Puster Valley (approx. 100 km).
Route 3:
Brixen – Villnöß – Würzjoch – Gadertal – Puster Valley- Brixen (about 100 km)
Route 4:
Brixen – Sterzing – Jaufenpass – Passeiertal – Meran – Lana – Gampenpass – Mendelpass – Bozen – Klausen – Brixen (ca. 200 km)
Route 5:
Brixen – Sterzing – Penser Joch – Sarntal – over the Ritten to Klausen – Brixen (about 120 km)
Day or half-day excursion to beautiful lakes: Pragser Wildsee and Toblacher See in the Puster Valley, Kalterer See (bathing lake) and Montiggler See (bathing lake) in Überetsch
